Texas Clay Festival October 28th and 29th 2006

Mark your calendar now! You won't want to miss the 14th annual Texas Clay Festival
in the Gruene Historic District of New Braunfels on Saturday and Sunday October 28th and 29th. There will be demonstrations and exhibitions of over forty potters and sculptors. Admission is free. For further information call Buck Pottery in Gruene 830-629-7975. A list of participants and a demonstration schedule is available online.

The first Texas Teapot Tournament 2007 is a membership driven
competition to introduce C.A.M.E.O. (CLAY ART MUSEUM &
EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION) - Houston Potters Guild’s
newly formed non-profit corporation. C.A.M.E.O. and the Texas
Teapot Tournament were established to satisfy the local clay
community, customers’ interests, and “for all to know the joy of
clay”.

The deadline for entry is Nov 5th 2006.

Wood Fire in October

It was fun. I was hot...(it is October) time to STOKE! One passerby said it was seriously-bad-ass (can i say that here?). Of course Lou got a nice cup from the firing. Here are some of the photos.
